Please can someone suggest a solution ,to prevent metal toilet seat hinges from corroding , I hae tried using plastic ones ,but they are not sturdy enough, and they snap easily to . Is there any that are non rust or is this a fallacy ?

Chromium plated shouldn't rust either (unless someone has a very poor aim ;-))
Stop peeing on them?

Argos do a soft closing seat with stainless steel hinges that you can fit first and get a decent tight fit and then the seat clips on after, also easy to remove to clean any unwanted splashes.

I know Psybbo, I know :-)
Tony's link to the "vandal-proof" fittings is excellent. I always fit those in pubs, and anywhere else where they have a hard life ;o)
