Okay, I am about to redecorate one of my rooms. I have got the paint, prepared the room and now I am stuck!! I want an effect where one colour 'merges' into another creating a soft subtle effect..so...I want dark blue, merging lighter blue, merging into pale blue and pale pink etc. Sounds wierd but I looks cool. How do I achieve this without the paints blending together to make a different colour altogether and without hard lines...am I making sense here??
I did the same sort of thing in my son's room using a paint sprayer. I actually used one of those pump action garden sprayers with a large tank, just pump to get pressure then spray
now I am scared...the thought of my husband, paint and a paint SPRAYING device scares the poop outta me...perhaps I ought to look for some other sort of idea...he said it was done by painting two colours, leaving them till they were practically dry and then blending them together using a dry paintbrush...I think the spraying option sounds much better but EVERYTHING will end up painted...me, the dogs, the windows...EVERYTHING!!!!!! Oh dear me, what have I started??
Please feel free to post the before & after pictures on here widowpurple!! Best of luck - maybe we'll see you later under the heading of Paint Removal....? :-)
*sighs* don't make me anymore scared than I already am...this room is supposed to a room of tranquillity and relaxation where I can to my holistic treatments...can you imagine what its going to be like...oh no...I need the loo again!!!
