Why must you have an imperial radiator? Isn't there an almost equivalent metric that you can use and modify the piping?

It sounds like you're getting hassle without radiator instead of radiator without hassle.

The metric is a bit smaller - I am getting to the view that a plumber
and a large handful of cash might be the least hassle option

You can buy extension pipes to plumb it in yourself.
