I use Shiny Sinks, it was recommended by the kitchen fitters we used 10 years ago. The sink still comes up lovely. It is available in most supermarkets and Wikinsons.
I used to use Shiny Sinks, but find bleach to be the most effective cleaner. Especially against tannin stains from tea, which seems to be a particular problem in my house.
I also recommend Shiny Sinks. It's easy to wipe on/rinse off & leaves no residue. I use Viakal limescale trigger spray on the section around the taps.
.....chlorine-bleach should not be used on metals....aluminium or stainless steel etc .....instructions on the label.....which hardly anybody reads, apparently!

Thank you all for your replies.
Cleaning it is simple, but If you really want to make it shine ... get yourself a scouring sponge, the ones that are yellow with a green pad on one side are good. Squirt some cream cleaner all round the sink. Then start scrubbing with the scourer, it will take plenty effort but dont worry. When you think you gave scrubbed every edge and corner, get a wet microfibre cloth and wipe all the remains of the now soapy cream cleaner away. Rinse the cloth in fresh water and wipe the sink until it is as clean and dry as you can get it.
To make it shine get a handful of dry paper towel and wipe it as dry as you can, then get another hanful and polish it until it shines.
Take it from someone who is lifelong commercial cleaner ... it works every time, I know it does, she trained me how to do it !
Are they supposed to be cleanable in a hard water area ?
Cream cleaner every time .. our water is full of chalk and as hard as it gets.
...or get rid of it and have a Corian sink installed. The easiest cleaning job in the world. A wet cloth.
I use any supermarket brand multi surface cleaner. Just pour around and scrub with a brush.
