Sorry I want to paint some patio slabs (light traffic) and see some Sandtex masonry paint which does not say suitable for patio but is micro porous so MAYBE ok, what you think?

I agree with Baldric - this is not a good idea...the elements, the Sun in particular, will rapidly degrade and remove any paint, which is why you can buy slabs which are made with a coloured mix....
Your best bet is to replace them or clean them with a pressure washer and forget about chemicals, they are an uneccessary hazard.

Painting them could make them look a bit ... naff ... comedic.

Acid stain could be a better solution and depending on budget how about considering covering the patio with fake turf?
