When installing Sky multiroom does the second box have to be cabled from a connection from the original Sky box. I would like to install Sky multiroom with the second box being in the bedroom but to run a cable from the living room (original box) it would be a very awkward run. The sattelite dish is sited outside the bedroom just now and if the cable was run from there it would be a relatively easy installation.

I believe the second box merely uses spare terminals on the satellite dish (they typically have 4 connections, which allows 4 Sky boxes or 2 Sky+ boxes). I'd expect, therefore, that you'd need a wire from the dish to the second sky box, not a wire between the two boxes.
yeh the 2nd installation goes straight from dish to new box.on the arm of your dish are 4 sockets so you can run up to 4 boxes but sky+ uses 2 sockets so bear that in mind.
