Pour And Paint Rollers

Hi all,
I am about to embark on some decorating in my new build house which is about 5 years old now.
Now, I have seen the ads for these pour and paint type rollers that also come with an edging roller and another tool for doing corners.
Also, I have done a bit of digging on Youtube and have seen the Black and Decker roller which sucks up the paint into a tube and then you proceed to pull the trigger to load the roiller. That looks pretty good. However, I am concerned about the edges. I do not want to paint the ceiling, just the walls.
I have read mixed reults with tthe pour and paint setup.
Finally, Does normal emulsion paint work with the pour and paint system? Ordinarily, emulsion in a tin is a bit gloopy and does not lend itself for pouring as you see on the videos.

Stick with a bog standard ( good) roller mate, and good 4 inch brush for corners. Can't beat it.

Add a cup full of water to every two and a half lt tin of emulsion just to thin a bit so the roller spreads it well.

I wouldn't waste your money. Normal roller and paint. A good quality brush for cutting in.

Yes teacake44 we have decorators in just now and that’s what they did mixed in water. Never seen it before so I asked why .....supposedly gives easier flow with roller.

Having worked as a painter/decorator, all these gadgets that come on the market are just that...gadgets!
As others have said, buy normal roller and paint.

You're hardly going to go out and buy 1 coat paint and then water it down.

What you on about ummmm ?? Yep four inch brush nailit for corners and cutting in, used that size for years. But I always buy the one they use for varnish/ stain, as its a lot softer and gives, all the brushes they make now are crap, to stiff.

The paint pads are useless and a waste of money IMO. I use normal roller and a 4" one for the corners.

as everyone has said, bog standard roller, but do not buy cheap ones
i have found the round plastic the metal roller goes through, sometimes they come out, and you have to push them back in again, only for them to fall out again, you could use a little superglue on them before you start suing them, buy cheap pay twice.

Hey, if that works for you go for it!
Try a one inch 'cutting in' brush though (just a suggestion)

Sounds heavy. But if cheap why not give it a try ?
