Rechargeable Batteries

I can't find the Tronic rechargeable batteries I need for my Christmas decorations that light up. Can I use the Kodak rechargeable ones that I have in the outside solar lights? Thanks.

They are two different sized batteries. One is AAA and the other is AA.
Providing you purchase the correct size (AAA Oor AA), They will be fine. I personally would be looking at Duracell or eveready for longer lasting power.

Sorry I put the wrong link on, it's the AA batteries I am after. How much are Duracell or EverReady and where do you get them from?

There is such a difference in price with the rechargeable batteries. 4 Duracell on ebay are 8.49 whereas 4 Kodak from the pound shop will cost £4. They have something on them called mAh and this can be 750 on the Kodak and 2500 on the Duracell and I was hoping someone could explain to me what the difference is. Do the dearer ones last longer between charges? I see the Duracell have a 5yr life also.

They will charge. It will take longer to charge 2500 mA batteries than 750 mA batteries. But they will last 10x or more longer inbetween charges. The price will always go up for better quality. But the run time also goes up (less downtime inbetween chargers)

RE the Kodak ones from poundland. If you are only going to use them for the festive period only, They may suffice. The choice comes down to your budget.

Thanks klazomaniac, that is the info I needed. I reckon I need 26 batteries and I only have 8 Kodak from the Poundshop, so if I buy another 9 x 2 packs, which makes 18 from there then that's £9 but if I buy Duracell from Tesco, even though they are on special offer, I would have to buy 5 packs of 4 at £8 a pack which would cost £40, so quite a big difference, but if you think the ones from the pound shop would do for my Christmas ornaments then I think it's a non brainier really. Thanks again.

I think I am correct in saying that Tronic is a Lidl brand. Any rechargeables should do fine, the higher the mAh capacity the longer the charge lasts (from fully charged, as already pointed out). Serious price differences for the same value are unlike to be justified so I suggest buying on price for what you deem adequate for you. Never let the batteries discharge too far below adequate output because then you risk damaging them.
