Just letting you know that despite what gulliver is claiming I am just back from Aldi and B and M stores
All shelves were fully stocked
There did not appear to be any supply issues and staff in both were continually putting out fresh stock
Seems that the impending food shortage crisis has been staved off

I just deemed it necessary for information purposes in case panic was setting in

I was in Aldi last night and the shelves were notably less well stocked than usual.

I was going to ask an operative if they thought Brexit was the cause then thought better of it because I'm not an idiot. :-)

the nation is saved from shortages because Stickybottle's Aldi is fully stocked.

And everyone else's. Our Aldi, Lidl, Tesco and ASDA have all been fully stocked the last week.

I've encountered no problems at all. I think the media are responsible for much of the panic by referring to everything as a 'crisis'. There may a few difficulties but that's a long way from a 'crisis'.

We have had no problems at all. I shop from Morrisons on line Click and collect, so don't see what's on the shelves.

I agree with Naomi too. Our media loves drama and we are daft enough to encourage it.

I've been in a number of different supermarkets and seen no panic buying. There are some empty shelves, and I have asked employees and they confirmed they were experiencing delivery problems, not shortages as such, just certain things were not been delivered on time. Things that were available last week are now unavailable and vice versa . Now that Boris has done a total U turn by allow EU workers back into the UK on visas, we will probably see less and less shortages and hopefully all the animals waiting to be processed will be processed instead of being culled. Hurrah! for EU workers they have saved the UK Christmas!

Sticky...gulliver lives in a bottom feeder area with lots of looting and associated crimes..the shopkeepers cant keep up with 'demand' and that results in empty shelves.

I haven't seen any problems, except with petrol/diesel. Which was purely because the media suggested there might be.... a few people believed them, which caused problems for everyone else.
Gulliver claims not to live in the UK. So, that's guesswork.

I am pleased that the shortages haven’t so far materialised. I think the warnings were that the gaps were in Christmas supplies, so 10 weeks before the all clear.

not everyone else's at all, ymb. I toured Sainsbury, Waitrose and Tesco this afternoon looking for stuff I can normally get from all of them, and still came home missing some things.

I went shopping today and there was loads of empty shelves.
I bought 4 of them for my shed.

Asda didn't have any kippers, which I was annoyed at. Probably not down to Brexit though.
