child proofing taps
Hi guys,
I have a 3 year old daughter who LOVES playing with water so much that I am actually beginning to think that maybe she is not a girl at all, but rather an otter. She loves, in particular, filling her own vessels with water and playing any number of water involving games. She loves taps inside and outside, upstairs and downstairs, taps at granny's, taps at playschool, taps at home.....you name it, she has probably twisted it!
Anyways, it is normally ok, as it is pretty obvious that she is playing with a tap, and she doesn't go upstairs to play (gate at top of stairs). However, I have a downstairs cloakroom and she (being an opportunist as all children are) wanders in and plays for ours with the tap. Hours of fun matched only by monumental puddles of gargantuan proportion all over said w/c floor. On occasion, water in the sitting room, library (grand piano in there, so you can imagine the issues surrounding that) kitchen (ceramin tiles in there so slippy and dangerous).
That is the problem. The solution would be to find some sort of child proof lock to fit over the taps in the cloaks.
Does anyone know of anything like this? Where are they available? Also, if not: Why not? Could we invent something of this nature and make ourselves multimillionaires over night like Mrs. Any W Cup woman?
Many thanks in advance
(PS; it's been a very long day for me.)
