Ceiling Decoration

I need to decorate my ceiling. I am going to put up a ceiling cove. My ceiling at present has the following layers-on top of the original plaster, a bad attempt at stippling and numerous layers of good quality vinyl silk emulsion paint. I do not really want to have it re plastered can I use a good quality textured paint to cover it and if so can anyone recommend a good quality paint or a solution to my predicament. Thanks

there is only one solution, replaster it probably cost you about �200 but will be well worth it in the end.

Try papering it with anaglypta,or 1400 grade lining paper.
