Plumbing - Compatibility

Hi, Does anybody know if UK plumbing fittings are compatible with Spanish plumbing systems? Would greatly appreciate any advice.

They are a nightmare to connect to in the uk we use mainly 1/2 BSP or 3/4 BSP fittings in taper or straight and in the rest of Europe they use 5/8 or 7/8 fittings; you can adapt and fit reducer's etc... but they are still a pain and caught out many a plumber before now you have to spend alot of time sourcing compatible fittings and a lot of improvising aswell. I would stay well clear if you can.

agree with gasman have just done posh nightclub owner bought all the sanitary ware from spain took a lot of ingenuity/ head scratching and cursing too get it working (leak free) must admit though the porcelain ware looked fantastic much better style and design than english ware
