Drilling through Stone
I need to drill an outside pipe on to my house yet the drill wont go anywhere near the stone. What drill will I need? I am using a 24v hammer drill. Can anyone suggest a drill that will do the job

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If you are only drilling small holes for fasteners(80 mil/3/8 inch or less) the drill you have will work as long as you use a good quality masonry bit. Let the drill do the work;ei. don't use excesive force. If the holes must be larger or you need a lot of them you will need a corded drill designed for heavier service. We use a lot of the battery powered hammer drills on the sites I work. I find most of the better makes quite sufficient when used within their design limits.
