Virgin Media/ Telewest - help!!
I am at the point of going insane!!
The week before I moved into this house in december , BT told me that they couldnt install my broadband for a month and as we can't be without our pc's for work, we asked to be installed with Telewest as they already had a line here. They said they would have to send us a new modem, and we said that if it wasnt here by the monday then we would not want it as nobody would be here to install it. They promised it would. Lo and behold it never arrived till the tues, by which time BT had called and said they could install that day. The letter that came with Telewests modem said we had 21 days to cancel the agreement and as we hadnt even opened the box we just sent the cancellation signed back to them and a letter asking them to collect their modem A month later I get a letter saying I havent paid the 1st month! I rang them and after 20 mins on hold I got cut off. I wrote to them and got an email 2 wks later asking me to call them. Again, after 25 mins on hold it cut off. I then get a letter saying I owe 2 months!! I then send a letter special delivery to the director on the letter. What do I get now? A letter saying they are going to take me to court for non payment and they will disconnect my service( which has never been installed!"!!) I cannot get to speak to anybody, nobody replies to my emails and now all the letter s are from Virgin Media who have taken over Telewest. What on earth do I do now??? Even sending a recorded letter hasnt worked and I am at my wits end.

Anyway, they should not be charging you as you followed the instructions and sent everyhting back. I have no advice on this as phoning seems to be getting you nowhere.
Just cancel the DD and keep trying to call, keep copies of all letters too, as they will be you ammunition.
