intumescent firestop?

I have recently changed a flat roof on the front of my property into a pitched/tiled roof. The building regs inspector has checked it out and said regs will be issued if I fit a intumescent firestop to the downstairs toilet vent that now opens up inside the pitched roof.this vent has to be connected by a form of ducting to the outside of the property by, for example, a vented tile.
Is this a job that I can do or do I need a specialist. Can the ducting be vented through a facia board.Can anyone tell me where I can purchase the bits required . Thanks.

It is just a matter of fitting a intumescent collar to the ducting very easy to install it just clips into place. You can get them online or from a good builders yard.

Vented tiles (in various colours to match) are readily obtainable and are connected by flexible ducting. The issue may be getting access if the roof has been sealed since you are going to have to remove tiles around the area to fit the vented tile and connect to the original vent outlet.
