Does anyone know how to get superglue off of a Apple ibook laptop as i do not want to damage it. It annoys me as it is white and bugs me, its on the mouse button and a little bit on the mouse pad, someone please help me
You have a problem! Acetone (nail varnish remover) will remove superglue, as will proprietary superglue remover. I believe they will all attack the plastic, so you would have to apply it very carefully to the superglue without letting it go anywhere else, then carefully wipe with a damp cloth afterwards to make sure you haven't left any behind.
I hope another ABer knows a nondestructive method.
Would it be possible to scrape it off carefully with a craft knife?
In hospitals they use ordinary washing up liquid to remove superglue from skin - you just have to be persistent in working it in around the edges, and eventually it will lift off. You might also find that a freezer spray will help to remove it (it makes the glue brittle, so that it cracks).
