I am planning to open a small deli shop selling, breads, cheeses, jams, local produce, sandwiches, salad boxes, biscuits (you ge tthe idea) etc. Would this be ok for a building with A1(a shop) planning permission. I would not be selling hot food and there would be no tables or chairs etc on the premises. The sandwiches and salad boxes would be to take home only. However i am not a takeaway, sandwiches and salad boxes would only account for about 25% of my trade. Mainly i'd be selling cheeses and breads so surely i'd be classed as a shop and would be ok for a building with A1 permission?
I would say you are a shop as they won't be eating on the premessis. Buisness eye are pretty good at getting back to you, you could try them, but as you arn't claiming to be a caffe etc... you shouldn't need to change usage of building!
