We are soon to redecorate our living room and I would like to try and soundproof the walls whilst we are at it (horrid neighbours). Does anyone know how to do this, what materials to use etc? thanks

In the absence of any other contributions, this is the sort of thing one has to do.

Don't know much more about it - try talking to a specialist company.
Try dealing with your neighbours via your local council's environmental health dept. There is plenty of legislation to deal with noisy neighbours. Soundproofing is not easy and not always successful, but is always expensive. I would try the Council first.
