paint on carpet

hi we have just moved into our new house an done of the carpets in the bedroom has paint on it. anyone any ideas how to get it out. not sure if it is gloss or not. apart from the paint it is a lovely carpet and seems a shame to chuck it

Hi, try scraping it off with something sharp. Just do it carefully and it may come off. Failing that you could take a piece from another part of the carpet like under the bed or chest of drawers and cut out the bad patch then stick in the good bit. Sometimes it is hardly noticable. Good luck with it.

It might sound daft but if it's quite a small area then try sand papering it - I've tried this before, not only with paint but also with a small burn, and it worked a treat.
