my car battery went flat overnight a friend told me to put an asprin in one of the cells ....does this work

This is a supposed remedy for tired old batteries.
If your battery was OK, but suddenly went flat, then forget the asprin. Instead - disconnect the battery and...
1. Find the electrical fault, or determine what you left switched on, that drained the battery.
2. Correct the situation.
3. Recharge the battery using a charger, then re-fit it.

thanks heathfield i found out what was draining the dam thing in the end the alarm lol thanks for your help
