Although I will not do this myself what are the pros and cons of PVC versus wood. I need new windows on the side of the house away from the prevailing weather. I intended to make two of the smaller windows in wood in my workshop but we now find that they all need replacing which is too big a task for me. Any advice welcome

Thank you Zacmaster. Our house is traditional and the front widow lights are stained glass which my wife would like to keep but I don't see how they can be included in upvc frames. I know that with a wooden frame I can have them made so that I can fit the small stained glass frames myself but so far local suppliers think that this is not possible with upvc or possibly not worth their while and difficult under the new regulations Thank you any how for the information

Don`t have PVC, as when we have a severe storm or hailstones the noise is like WW3 has broke out, with the hailstones hitting the window ledges.
