i despratly need a security screwdriver for work but cant find one ANYWHERE its a philips screwdriver but with a tiny hole in the end where a security pin slots in can anyone help PLEASE
the seller says there Y shaped i need a normal philips with a security hole. wev been useing them for over 3 years now but our suppliers cant seem to get them anymore, either that or just arnt sending them out to us i cant work without it and snapped my last one the other day!!!
I have never seen anything like that!! you could buy a matching size normal screwdriver and take it along with snapped one to a local small engineering company or maybe even a independent garage and see if they will drill a small hole down it. or you could consider getting the old one welded back together.
I had the same problem some time ago. I got around it by using a flat-bladed screwdriver and filing a slot in the blade with a needle file to clear the pin.
welding wouldnt work its shatterd and iv tried fileing out a flat head but due to the ammount of use a min of 30 times a day to a max of about 120 times a day they just dont last. for people who havnt seen them iv found out there called a TAMPER PIN PHILLIPS SECURITY SCREWS theres a company im makeing inquires with but iv a feeling they will say the same as the last one i found id have to buy 5000 screws to get a bit!! heres whet they look like http://www.securityfasteners.net/TamperPinPhil lips.htm
thanks for the help people but keep it comeing plese!
