Using Rendering Sand for Bricklaying?
Is it possible to use rendering sand for bricklaying because I have a number of bags of this sand already and no other use for it.

It will need plenty of water as the sand is very"hungry", and also plenty of plasticiser to make it workable. You may use hydrated lime as the plasticiser if you're not overly concerned about the mortar colour ( it will be quite light), this will also offer a certain amount of give in what will be a very strong bricklaying mortar.
