How do you undo them if you want to replace them? Without damaging the system of course.

Thank you.

You can't - its impossible. You have to cut the old pipe back and replace the section with a combination of bends and straight couplers - whatever you are re-arranging. It isn't diffuclt and well within the capabilities of a DIYer. Larger DIY shed may do the couplings and sell lengths of pipe, or else go to a plumbers' merchant. The glue comes in small pots with a brush attached to the lid. It is called ABS/PVC cement and stinks to high-heaven. Its the same stuff that you used to make these Airfix kits up as a boy.

Thanks guys. I was actually thinking to replace one joint and the pipe where it is coming through the wall of y kitchen. Because the elbow joint there is cracked and pipe outside keeps on falling. I was thinking to take the elbow out and instead put those hand tight compession ones. But now I would try what you said.

Exactly right - the other types of joints have screw-up ends that are compression fittings - they work with a neoprene gasket that comes as part of the fitting. More expensive to buy but easier to work with.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate. And yes I am a DIYer and even on that I am on the beginners stage. I have bought DIY manual (A big thick book). But still help from people like you who been there and done it before and know what they are talking about, is always needed and appreciated. Thanks.
