brand new ladder radiator from B &Q

Having just had a new tiny bathroom installed I was pleased with my ladder radiator, which dried towels a treat. However, with warmer weather I wanted to turn them off. I turned both the knobs off (tightened down) at each bottom corner, which perhaps wasn't the right thing to do, as when I turned them on again there's no heat. I bled the top, but the radiator is full of water. B & Q unhelpful - what can I do?

you should only have to turn the one valve off, which will usually be a thermostatic one or a white cap with finger grips on it, the other one you dont need to turn usually has a smooth cap on it to stop you turning it (unless yours is a trendy one with stainless steel tap type handles) in any case turning them both off shouldn't cause a problem.
if you've opened them up but theres no heat then its possible that even though the handles are turning the valve seat itself isn't, you need a plumber!

Absolutely brilliant! Such a fast response!!! Now have it working - HUGE THANK YOU!!! Both knobs are exactly the same on this model and both have arrows. The installer didn't know what you did!! Many thanks again - I'm thrilled to have it working, but more importantly to understand how it works
