Soundproofing

Hello all :-)

What is the best way to soundproof my bedroom especially? (Steady!!)

I live in an end terrace house and next door have a tendancy to play music late and loud!! Especially when the daughter is back on holiday from University.

The walls are paper thin and I am sick of losing sleep - They do turn the music down but of course only after I have been woken up and been around.

My wife & I get on really well with the Mum and have mentioned it but if she is away.......

Any ideas?

have you tried a wall to wall bookshelf, full up with big thick books

Not yet but we are going to get fitted wardrobes etc on the back wall soon enough so that "should" help

Cork - its a great deafener, but if its a large wall would cost a bit to put up cork tiles, looks brill tho.
