What staple gun can staple fabric into wood?

I need to staple some curtain material into pine wood, but my Rapisco staple gun barely penetrates into the wood.

I see there are lots of different staple/nail combo guns available (spring&electric), but none of them have any power rating so I don't know which one to buy. My budget does not allow for a pneumatic but I would consider an electric one as it would be easier to pull the trigger/keep steady.

Also what are the significances of the different sizes of staples used?

Can I block the hole left by the tradesmen when they removed my back boiler??
