Smell from Radiator

Hey, I have a 2000 v plate rover 25 1.4. No problems from what i can see looked for usual signs of HGF. There is no loss of coolant, no temp worries but im well paranoid and can smell something when stopped from the radiator...is a light smell from radiator common or is this something i should have looked at. I can only smell it if go really close to radiaotr after its warmed up!!

Any previous expo would be much appreciated!

sounds like a bit of paranoia, there will always be a slight whiff of hot coolant 'engine' type of smell. the smell of head gasket failure is something that once experienced will never be forgotten. why not flush the system and refill with new coolant?

Hi, Have you just topped up your Window Washer bottle with fluid? if so I think this is where the odour is coming from.
