Definitely silicon. Remove original silicon with a stanley knife, de-grease the wall & bath where the new stuff's going to go. Apply silicon, & smooth off with a finger dipped in a solution of water & washing up liquid.
when you have removed ALL traces of old seal and thoroughly dried out all moisture 3/4 fill bath with water then follow good advice from carrust don't cut the nozzle to big though and then leave for 24 hours before draining the water from the bath hth Tez
Hi all, was just going to reply when I saw tezestwings answer. That is the way I was taught to do it with water in the bath and it has always worked for me and yes always use silicon. It does stink when applied but the smell soon goes. Good luck.
The explanation for filling the bath with water (in case you wondered) is because the weight of the water in the bath pulls the edge down a bit in relation to the wall. Doing this as you reseal avoids stretching the sealant (which eventually causes the crack-line).
I wish this answer was given two months ago when I did my bath..........Now I`m going to have to do it again.........thanks very much!!!!!!! lol
