On Sunday 30th March, Yurij Nekrasov an inmate at Wakefield prison was accused of 'Trying to escape' by swopping places and his 'High visible jacket' with his brother. He was stopped at the 'last bulletproof door' by officers. Right, lets put this matter straight.
First of all, i was there visiting & saw & heard EVERYTHING that happened. The bell went at 4pm and an officer announced 'End of Visits'. Because the guy didn't understand (it was his first visit & didn't speak much english) he got up with his family to go to the first door(the first of 4) thinking it was the way back to his cell. He only got about 8 steps when prison officers grab him. He didn't understand what he had done & did not try to struggle or anything. He is now 'Down the Block' being punished! Secondly, the prisoners DON'T wear 'High visibility jackets' their clothes are security tagged. He didn't deserve this no matter what he's done! The paper dosn't mention the 2 screws (man & wife) who have just been sacked for smuggling 'mobile phones' in!!

Buy a better newspaper next time.

By keeping reading, you are encouraging sloppy journalism. If you know their account of something you have personally witnessed is a pack of lies, how do you know that anything else in the newspaper is true.

I suggest the Daily Mail might be right up your street as an alternative.

Why not write a letter to the editor pointing out exactly what you've put in this post? Seems to me that they'd be glad of another side to the story.

Already have done Seajay! By the way, just read that the 2 screws were in Monday's Mirror & also tried to smuggle drugs in! I wonder what sentence they will get?!
