replacing coping stones.

How do I replace coping stones which have been dislodged from a four and a half inch wall ?

The old mortar is still on the bricks and I dont want to cause further damage by chiseling it off - or is there no alternative?

Someone said that 'No Nails' adhesive would do the job but he's got to be joking, surely !?

As long as the mortar is sound, and not crumbly, I'd recommend this stuff. Made by Evo-Stik. It's maybe not quite as instant as they claim, but it's definitely strong stuff. Don't know if DIY stores are stocking it yet, but you could try. I get mine from a local builders merchants.

Had a similar problem when I had two bricks fall out of an ornamental wall. Used a silicone sealant and so far 5 years later there are still there!
Make sure you get the 'pure silicon sealant' transparent made by Unibond.
