built in oven problem

hi, my oven has just developed a fault
the top cooling fan that protects the switches ,which normally shuts down after the oven has cooled keeps running non stop
is there a simple remedy?
i banged it a couple of times which done the trick for a while
but now its bobbisoxed

Probably the thermostat for the fan sticking.

If you can locate it then probably easy to change. what make and model is the oven?
