Extractor fan or air brick?

My bathroom ceiling bets black spots on it due to me not being able to leave the window open for long after my shower in the morning because I am leaving the house to go to work. I'm assuming that being able to air the room better would help so would I be best to get an extractor fan fitted or just an air brick? Thanks.

install a shower fan light over the shower area and it will remove the main source of condensation quickly, much more efficient than the airbrick option.

An extractor fan will be many hundred times more efficient than an air brick. If you want the fan mounted in the wall (rather than in a window pane) the amount of work shouldn't be a lot different to fitting an air brick - just a bigger hole.

Our shower/bathroom ceiling is covered with polystyrene tiles and never gets damp or steamed up.
Just a thought!!
