Fitted Kitchen

Does anyone know what's a realistic price to spend on having a kitchen fitted? My room's about 10" x 11" with cupboards on two walls. Including getting a new single oven and hob, and the fitting fee by tradesmen/the kitchen company, roughly what should I expect to pay?

Thanks in advance!

I am having mine done at present. The units cost 1800. The labour was 1000. The tiles are 200. So, about 3000! But be careful- you can pay up to 7000 if you get taken in by swish adverts!! My units were from my local joiners (Howdens in Weymouth) who supply already made up carcasses, and all the fitter has to do is plumb them in and put the doors on. SO much easier and quicker than MFI where they have to be built from scratch. I could have got less units too, which obviously would have been cheaper.

I used one man to build it- again, far cheaper than two (in fact, half the cost..) and he didn't increase the price of the units, which had to be bought through him. He could have done. Floor tiles were 9.99 per square meter- cheap ones from B&Q, and the wall ones (just used for splash back, not on the whole walls!) were more pricey, but nicer and from a specialist tile shop.(100 in total for 2.5m plain and 9 decorated ones).

I am fairly sure this is much cheaper than going to a kitchen building company who will do the whole thing for 6 grand in a rush...

Sorry, forgot to say, that included a new sink/drainer/oven/ceramic hob/extractor fan/boxing in yucky pipes/all units incl. a glass cabinet, ceiling lights (25 Argos), wall paint.....

My parents are having theirs done in Staffordshire, I don't really know the dimensions of their kitchen but I would describe it as 'average'..    They had 3 quotes, first at 5.5K, second at 5.1K, third at 3.5K.

The third quote is far more realistic, I tried to tell them that they were being ripped off with the first two, but would they listen??  It is from a Company who have done kitchens for people that they know, so not really cowboys, and all prices included new appliances (cooker, fridge/freezer but no dishwasher).

We are just looking at changing our kitchen. Our carcases are fine thogh, so just chnaging the doors (25 of them) ad the worktop unit. Been quoted 1300 (fitted), which is better than spending 3000 on a new kitchen (imo)

Thank you all - v. helpful. I'm getting a lot of flannel from various kitchen showroom people at present, and I thought it all sounded a bit too dear for my fairly small and none too swanky kitchen!
Please do not buy a cheap kitchen I got one in my old house for 900 (inc cooker, washer-dryer and fridge freezer)  and fitted it myself - absolute disaster! never again *shudders*
