Disposing of Plasterboard
I've just been told that you cant throw plasterboard away with normal rubbish or in the skip. Is this true?
We have an unmanned skip and we've already thrown a few bags away already and we will have a whole house full to dispose of soon.

From a bit of web-browsing it seems that some skip hire companies won't accept it, other will accept it up to a certain percentage of the contents of the skip and some will accept it if it's kept separate from other waste (either for an extra fee or, if you're lucky, for no extra charge). So the only rule seems to be "If in doubt, ask the skip hire company". (I did a temporary job for a skip hire company for a few days last year, manning the phones and taking bookings. I was given a crash course in all of the things that I needed to know but I'm confident that there was no mention of any problems with that company accepting plasterboard).
