nose stud making you ill...?
8 Answers
my mate has a nose stud that she rarely takes out...when she does she says there is sometimes a tiny amount of a kind of white greasy substance, probably made up of stuff like face cream, make-up, skin oils, sebum etc and maybe the stuff that makes blackheads? whatever it is, it has a weird icky smell and she now believes its slowly poisoning her in a small way...with tiny amounts if this stuff going into her and making her not ill but generally off colour...
i too have a nose stud and its now made me wonder if this is even possible...?
i take mine out sometimes an clean it but yes they do occasionally have a bit of gunk on them...like sometimes you get in ears too, if you have a permanent ring
is this possible? would it be enough to make you a bit 'off' even in a small way?
thanks

I've had my nose pierced for 15 years with no problems. Make sure she removes it, cleans it and replaces it from time to time. Argos do cheap ones so I always have a few around.
I remember chatting to a vey good looking guy once, until I saw the state of his earring. All green and rusty, imagine nuzzling up to that!
