No!

I haven't put mine in yet - although will probably do so at the weekend. A good tip is look at what the local farmers are doing, when they put theirs in, you put yours in.
no, definitely not - we are to plant ours tomorrow
If you put them in now beware of frost,it will damage the leaves.
Keep them covered on cold nights, better waiting a bit longer.
Agree with TD, wait another week
You're in plenty of time for all varieties - first earlies, second earlies and definitely maincrop. My first earlies went in last week (then we got frost!) but I think they're OK.
I never plant them until April as the young sprounts are not frost hardy. Even then, the tops need protecting from frosts in May.
I'll be putting a row in this weekend and another row each Sunday for about 3 weeks. They usually all catch up but I like to think of some being a bit later than others. By first and second earlies rather than maincrop, unless you have stacks of space and enthusiasm for storing spuds.
Here's a good planting guide which might be helpful:

Enjoy you new allotment - runner beans, courgettes, red onions, salad leaves, I can't wait to get planting myself!
