with pot and potting compost. It bloomed beautifully and when the flowers died I waited a bit and then cut them off. Then three thick leaves grew and made a nice display and after a while a further leaf grew so that now there are four leaves. My friend has cut all the leaves from hers and taken it from the pot and dried it for next year. I am reluctant to do this as the leaves are still looking good. She did not wait for them to die back but cut them off while they were still healthy. Can anyone tell me the correct procedure. I should like to save it for next year if possible.
feed it and grow it on all summer. as it gets to autumn stop watering and let the leaves die back and the whole thing dry right off. Repot the bulb in december and it should flower again.
Thanks very much woofgang. I have been doing the right thing then and will continue with what you have said. It looks very nice as it is. I hope to be able to say to my friend nah-nah-ne-nah-nah - I've saved mine and you haven't!
