Can these plants be put into pots

Just bought a lovely rhubarb and custard looking acquilegia I believe I have bought them before n they havent survived has anyone any tips to enusre htis one lives please. Is it ok to put in a pot or better in the ground?

I'd put it in a pot, in good quality compost, then you can move it until you find a place where it's happy. Look it up on the internet and be guided by what they tell you about where it likes to sit in the garden, watering, etc - I think they're nice, but I've never had any myself.

If you put it in the garden it will seed everywhere and will be fabulous. Just make sure you keep it watered. It will disappear in the winter and emerge again in spring.

tilly agreed look them up but I have them all over my garden. They're a perennial that dies down each autumn but comes back in the spring. I leave them in the ground all year - they seem to grow in full sun or full shade and tend to self-seed all over the place too.

I have one in a pot and it does very well each year, and hundreds of seedlings, want some?

Hi Carlton 23 Yes please!!! would I just scatter the seeds in soil in the garden and they would grow, sorry not really a v good gardener x
