I'm not very good at keeping house plants and I have just had a white Orchid given to me! It has no instuctions so I would be very grateful for any advice on how not to kill before my friend visits again and wonders where its gone!!
Thank you :)
okay have it in a coolish room temp bright spot out of all or most direct sun. Once a week run water through the pot. Rainwater is best if you have it. Let the pot drain completely until there are no drips coming out then put it back in the cover. Once a month, after you have done this, dilute a couple of drops of plant food with about a quarter pint of water and pour that through the pot. Drain and replace as before.
Yes ^^^ what woofgang said ^^^ except I put a couple of drops of baby bio in every feed & they flower fror about 9/10 months of the year. I'm not good with indoor plants, the garden's more my thing, but I've had one of my orchids for 8 years & the other's about 4 so they're tough things.
I am obviously doing something wrong but I have two lovely orchids.
I cut mine down to just below a node ( I think that is what it is called.) and water once a week. They are kept on a South Facing window ledge and they have bloomed again better than last year. The white one is beautiful.
