lawn scarifiying

I have a scarifier cassette fits on to my mower.Never used before .need info on best time to use {season} also is it easier while lawn is dry or wait until weve had some rain.Thanks in advance

Its best done in the spring to rake up the old stuff left from the winter and to allow the new grass to grow through.

Its a bit late now as you'd be scraping up the new grass. You can also have a go in the Autum once the growing seaosn's over, but spring is most usual all ready for the summer. Here's alll you might want to know about scarifying!
