Glad about the Rosemary as I have just put some in along with lavender which is a herb to me
I also have some wild garlic to go in so pleased about that
Not 100% sure what comfry is
Trime - I was looking for things to grow that I can eat
I have a shocking problem with both slugs and snails.
The little b@stards even get in the kitchen
I have tried those nemo things - not fully effective
when I first move here I had a huge, huge problem with snails - went out with a torch one evening after dark and got a bucketful off the lawns - kept repeating that. Every night checked behind all the dense foliage up against the walls cos that was where they hid during the day and religously kept on hunting them down - am virtually snail free now and all with little or no use of pesticides.
But it feels horrible when you crush them Islowry, and so do snails. If I find snails in my garden I throw them out on to the road so that passing cars will crush them and I don't have to. Otherwise it's back to the slug pellets. They are so yucky!
Some people like to eat them. When I was a child I used to go out and collect them in a jar for my grandfather. My grandmother used to boil them in salted water. He loved them. My mother reckoned they made a noise when they were put into the boiling water. Horrible!! Perhaps that's why I find them so yucky.
