The blasted Lily Beetles are back
Bright red little blighters. Zapped 'em. I am always amazed where they come from, how they find my plants in the middle of nowhere,

Yep I think you're right boxy, I had forgotten, it's POO, even worse. Double YUK. When I moved from London to N. Yorks I was told you don't get Lily Beetles this far north it's too cold for them. Well there weren't any when I arrived but it didn't take them long to catch up. Couple of years later and there they were, little blighters.
Yes it's a change to get into the garden.
Although they have now finished flowering and the stems have now been cut down to ground level, what we have always found to be most effective during the flowering period is this excellent all-round product:
