when should i cut this back, its still got flowers on and i can still see butterflies and bees on it sometimes, think its also called an everlasting wallflower

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Pushybabe - I keep mine all the year round, mine are yellow, I just cut the dead flower stalks off and they have little seed pods on which I plant and they germinate very quickly (in the Summer) they never die even in last years bad Winter. If you have the purple erysimum called "Bowles Mauve" you can propagate them by cuttings in Spring/Summer. So don't cut too much off your plant now, let the flowers die naturally and depending on the variety either save the seeds or just cut the stalks off.
