Veg growing in the shade

Is there any veg that will grow well in a very shady part of my garden? It only gets about 3 hrs of sun a day. TIAV

very few and those that grow will crop poorly

try.. american land cress, cut and come again salad leaves, rocket, mint, and maybe try some climbing french beans which may scramble to a point where they get a bit more light... they mature quicker than runners so you might get a reasonable crop. leeks might do ok too

Thank. you I may try the leeks as I have a pack of seeds from last year

if using old seed sow in small cell trays as you may not get very good germination

Try them all and see what grows. I have a huge variation af shade and light so don't worry about it, anything that grows is a bonus.

Chives and lettuce prefer cooler conditions as does spinach. I have grown potatoes in a shady spot, they wont get huge but you'll get some pretty decent spuds.
