Snails and Peas
5 Answers
Hi all,
I have tried to grow veg this year, for the first time, and thanks to the wonderful weather we have had, not much of it has been successful.
The one thing that I have managed to get a small crop from are my peas, and my little girl is so excited to eat them as she has watched them grow.
The only problem is, as much as I have plucked snails off them as they have been growing, I have inevitabley missed a few along the way and the pesky things have managed to get there teeth around some of the pea pods.
Are these peas ok to eat? The pods have not been broken into, they are just scored on the surface, as though they have been chiseled out if that makes sense? If not, I am going to have to pick them and make the superstelth swap at the sink while I am washing them with supermarket ones, so that my little one gets the chance to pop the pods.
Many thanks in advance,
Vickie
