Potatoes left in the ground last year
2 Answers
I didn't get round to harvesting all the potatoes I grew last year and these are now growing. (Can't remember the variety.) Will these produce a decent edible crop this year? Obviously, the ones you normally plant are special 'seed potatoes' so was just wondering what will happen with the ones I left in the ground.

Cut off two thirds of the haulm, and replant - you can put them back in about a third of the space you used first. Then you can have new potatoes for Christmas Day! I know this works, I heard it on a gardeing programme years ago & have done it many times.
