Virgina Creeper
1 Answers
I have recently planted a virginia creeper to cover an ugly bare wall in our garden. The plant is happy and healthy and growing well, but doesn't seem to be able to get a hold on the rendered wall. It keeps curling its tendrills around itself instead of using them to hold on. Are there some surfaces virginia creepers can't hold on to, or do I just have a duff one?!

The other has little sucker pads and sticks to anything (and is a bu**er to remove) very much like ivy. We made the mistake of getting the tendril one, and had to put up a net work of wire to support it. Nice in leaf, but looks a mess in winter.
