Pickled Lemons

Some years back someone on here give me a recipe for making pickled lemons / lime. It was a very simple and easy to make recipe which came out great and tasted delicious. Somehow I misplaced this recipe, and a search on here was not helpful either.

Do any of you make pickled lemons/lime and would like to share your recipe with me, please? (I am secretly hoping this person would post their recipe again :) )

Of course I could Google for one, but as you all know it's not the same as getting an ABanker tried and true recipe. :)

Would a recipe that's well-reviewed on the BBC Good Food website be a reasonable substitute?
