I have move into a property and there is a Dog Rose hedge which as grown wild and I want to take it out and kill off the roots can anyone suggest anything that I can put on to do this.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Are you sure you want to remove it? Dog roses make excellent secure hedges because they are so thorny. The will stand hard pruning back to shape and tolerate drought well as well as being good for wildlife. If you do want to dig it out, its not too difficult, just cut it back hard first like boxy says then dig out the roots.
